Tahoe Youth & Family Services (TYFS) appoints Cheyanne Lane as the new Executive Director.
Cheyanne began working for TYFS in 2006 and has filled many roles during her tenure. Most recently, she has served as the agency's Supportive Services Manager focusing on homeless intervention and prevention services to ensure that unaccompanied minors and homeless young adults in our community have a voice and are represented.
“I am honored to be at the helm during this transition,” said Lane. “I bring a core understanding of the organization’s mission and a commitment to serving our communities. I will continue to focus on offering the best programs and services possible, exemplifying our core values, which include integrity, community, leadership, and excellence.”
Cheyanne is an active member in the South Lake Tahoe community, serving as a board member of Encompass Youth, Tahoe Coalition for the Homeless, E Dorado Opportunity Knocks Continuum of Care, and a 2012 graduate of Leadership Lake Tahoe through the Lake Tahoe Chamber of Commerce.
“I am excited with the appointment of Cheyanne Lane as our Executive Director.” Said DeAnna Imelli, Board President. “She has great passion for the programs she directs, and I know she will extend that passion to directing the future of TYFS.” The Board of Directors will be working in partnership with Cheyanne to make necessary improvements within our agency so we may better serve our communities needs on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe and Douglas County.
Tahoe Youth & Family Services is a non-profit organization that has been serving youth and families in the South Lake Tahoe community since 1971 and Douglas County, Nevada since 2008. Our mission is to promote the healthy development of children, families, and individuals through counseling and support programs.

Jesse Kilow-Nieto Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, South Lake Tahoe Office. CA #136708 I’m an integrative therapist educated on and trained utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic techniques. I utilize a holistic approach whether I’m working with individuals, couples, or families, and am constantly adapting to meet the specific wishes and needs of each client I encounter. I operate from a non-judgmental, non-pathologizing stance, and conceptualize my clients’ situations in the context of larger social and cultural systems. My areas of specialty include anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, and trauma and stress-related disorders. I also implement animal and nature-assisted psychotherapy in my practice.

I joined Tahoe Youth and Family in December of 2021 as an Intern Clinical Professional Counselor and graduated to a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in February of 2022. Prior and congruent to this I was an intern and then Licensed Professional Counselor with Family Support Council in Gardnerville as well as a Quality Intellectual Disability Professional for Jessie’s Ranch. I am also employed as a licensed Special Education Teacher. I truly enjoy working with clients of all ages. I am certified in Neuro Emotional Technique and work well with those with trauma and disabilities such as Autism. I am also experienced in Domestic Violence.

NV 06890-1 I am originally from Sierra Madre, California and moved to Mexico when I was 8 years old. My dad was an Agricultural Engineer, we moved all over Mexico for the next 10 years. I returned to California to live with friends of the family during my Senior year of High School in Davis California where I was considered a Foreign Exchange Student. They thought I spoke no English, had signed me up for English as a Second Language, well, they soon found out I spoke English and I needed to sign up for a Foreign Language, so I picked Spanish.! I have spent the last 30 years in Tahoe and l love calling it home. I became a Drug and Alcohol Counselor in 2015. I am excited to start my journey with Tahoe Youth and Family Service and be able to provide my services to our community to English and Spanish Speakers. In my spare time I like to do crafts and spend time with my grandkids.
